Introduced in 1950, the Memovox became one of Jaeger LeCoultre’s defining postwar creations, combining traditional watchmaking with a practical mechanical alarm. The Worldtime variation followed later in the decade, using its rotating city disc to reference times across the globe. This American market example is signed LeCoultre and powered by the Calibre 825, introduced in 1959 as the first automatic alarm movement with a date display. Its bumper automatic construction and twin crown design make it a charming expression of mid century watchmaking.
