Aviateur VQ

The Aviateur VQ (AVQ) is the inaugural release from Lesablier, first introduced in 2018. Designed as a purpose-built pilot’s watch, it draws inspiration from 1960s aviation timepieces that utilized a full 24-hour display for maximum clarity in professional settings.

Unlike traditional watches, the AVQ features a true 24-hour dial paired with a single hour hand that completes one full rotation per day. This format mirrors the timekeeping standards used in aviation and military environments, allowing for intuitive reading of day and night without ambiguity. A dedicated day-night indicator further enhances legibility.

The design blends vintage and modern elements. The case features a minimal, tool-focused profile with softly curved, almost art deco-inspired lugs, while a sandblasted finish reinforces its utilitarian character. The dial is highly legible and high-contrast, taking cues from cockpit instrumentation, with all markings coated in C1 Swiss Super-LumiNova for strong low-light visibility.

Production is limited to just 500 pieces, making the AVQ a foundational model within the Lesablier lineup.
