Credor Linealx Mokume Gane GCCD983

Released in 2021, the Credor Linealx GCCD983 is a limited edition of just 30 pieces featuring a dial made using the traditional Japanese technique of Mokume Gane. Originally developed around 400 years ago for Japanese sword fittings, Mokume Gane involves layering different metals together, then carving and working the material to create a wood grain-like pattern.

The dial is made from 12 layers of 18k pink gold, 18k white gold, and silver, paired with blackened hands. Each dial was individually made under the supervision of Mokume Gane specialist Masaki Takahashi, with its pattern inspired by “Zuiun,” or auspicious clouds, which have traditionally been associated with good fortune in Japan. Due to the nature of the process, each dial has a completely unique pattern.

Inside is Credor’s caliber 6L75, an automatic movement measuring just 3.69mm thick with a 45-hour power reserve. The movement also features a special ruthenium-plated rotor made specifically for this limited edition.
