Omega N6592 “Florentine” 14K Gold, Cal. 302, c. 1956

This Omega reference N6592 is a U.S. market dress watch housed in a 14K yellow gold case with a distinctive Florentine finish on the bezel and lugs. The inside caseback is stamped N6592 and the watch is fitted with the correct manually wound Omega caliber 302, bearing the OXG U.S. import code. The approximately 15.03 million movement serial dates the watch to around 1956.

Condition: Good vintage condition. The case shows scratches, wear and some evidence of light polishing, notably on the sides of the lugs. The Florentine texture remains well defined. The silver dial shows even aging with light spotting and marks. The hour and minute hands match the shape and proportions of comparable examples but appear to have been painted black. The small seconds hand lacks the counterbalance seen on other examples. Given the variation among U.S. market Omegas of this period, I cannot verify whether the hands are original, modified, or later replacements, and their originality is being treated as unknown. The acrylic crystal shows light surface wear, and the leather strap is an aftermarket genuine Crocodile replacement with generic gold tone buckle.
